Recently, a friend asked if I would be interested in designing some sci-fi themed cocktails for an event. Now, that sounds like fun!
I started by brainstorming some ideas about what “effects” these cocktails might have or do (see the brainstorm list below). What ingredients would cause these effects? What would be interesting to see in a bar? How would I made them not too difficult for the bartenders to make? All interesting questions…
I gathered some friends and we had a pretty fun night testing and drinking and here are some of the ideas we came up with.
Butterfly Pea Flower infused gin 
Layered effect, color changing with pH 
Glows in Black Light 
Spicy foam with Pomegranate
